To the Gaudreau Family,
A very bright and wonderful light has most certainly gone out in the city of Williston and the hearts of many. Larry was simply the best. We feel blessed to have known him and consider him our friend...we spent many years having the pleasure of sitting in the pew ahead of him and MaryAnn at First Lutheran Church. We always enjoyed a good visit before, after (and sometimes during) the church service. Please accept our most sincere and heartfelt sympathy.

To the Gaudreau family I would like to express my deepest sympathy for your loss. I was very saddened to hear that Larry passed away. He was a great man and leaves behind such a wonderful family. I have so many memories of all the fun times we shared. I feel so lucky that I was able to grow up just down the street from all of you, although I am sure there were times when Tim and Terry and I were running wild that Larry didn't feel so lucky to have me down the street. Larry was always so cheerful and genuine with his concern for others and always ready to lend a hand if needed. He will be dearly missed by many. Again, my deepest condolences to all of you.
June 27, 2012 - Debbie Sederquest of Crosby, ND

June 26, 2012 - Mark and Jackie Stenehjem of Fargo, ND
Dear Mary Ann and Family,
In the 1970’s we admired Larry’s mechanical skills when he kept our cars operating. Our admiration for Larry continued to grow over the last 4o years as we saw him working tirelessly to make his hometown a better place. However, what we admired most in Larry was that he was such a regular, sometimes gruff, loveable guy- never too proud to admit to his past failures in life or too shy to talk about how important God and his family were in his life.
Last Sunday morning, God surely met Larry and said “"Well done, good and faithful servant….” May the love and presence of God and your friends and family comfort and support you as you mourn the loss of Larry.
Mark and Jackie
June 26, 2012 - Malcolm & Denise Pippin of Williston, North Dakota
Dear Friends: We are deeply saddened by your loss and will dearly miss Larry. He was an absolute joy to be around, whether at the lake, at hockey, or anywhere else. Always had a wonderful laugh and was a true joy.

One of my fondest memories of Larry was a few years ago at the lake. One of the girls and I pulled up to the beach with our jet skis and Larry asked me if he could take the faster one for a ride. He then took off on it like a rocket at 75 years of age! I remember thinking that I hope that I have that type of energy and enthusiasm for life at age 47, let alone at age 75 ! He had such a zest for life and his family- I greatly admired him for that.

That episode typified Larry for me- living life wide open full of cheer, fun and love.

We will all miss him dearly. God Bless, the Pippins

Dear Mary Ann and family,
I am saddened by your loss. I can't think about Larry without smiling. What a great guy.
I especially remember once on a holiday, when you were out at the lake and I drove my red Ford pinto to the car wash to really clean it good. My son and I were being funny and stuck the hose over the shift stick and it sucked it right off. Shocking! Of course, we couldn't go anyplace until Larry came back to Williston. He unlocked the machine and retrieved it with a smile.God blessed us with him and may He bless you at this most difficult time. Big hugs.
Love,
Emalou

We are so sorry for your loss. My husband has thoroughly enjoyed the many conversations over the years he has had with Larry. Larry would order used car parts from him. There were times David would just call him to chat and see how he was doing or what was going on in Williston. He will be missed by many. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time.
June 26, 2012 - Mildred Helgeson, Barb Bennigsdorf
I met Larry when I rented a car from him when I flew home to visit my mom at Bethel Home. My flight was delayed and Larry left the car at the airport with a sign in the window welcoming me to Williston and the keys were under the visor. Since it was the weekend, Mom and I finally got to his office Monday to settle with him. The phones were ringing and people waiting to see him, but he still took time to come out to the car and visit with Mom. That meant so much to her. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

I'm so sorry to hear of Larry's passing. I have known Larry all my life. I have been gone from Williston for almost 50 years but I always made it a point to look him up every summer when I came home. We had some wonderful days together, down here in the Houston Area, driving around and vistiting about the past and the present.
Had a nice visit when he was here at the Medical Center.
I was hoping I would see him in July, but I will never forget him and all the valuable time I had with him my whole life.
He was a great guy.

No matter how many kind words are said about Larry, it will still be an understatement of what and who he was to me here on this earth.

Larry will remain in my heart and serve as a person who always grounded me. He was an everpresent person in my life for my entire life thus far.

I see Larry's passing as the gift of another angel I know I can count on to watch over me daily. I am so very thankful for Larrys life and the opportunity to have been counted as someone in his.

All the love one family can handle must be pouring in every door at the big yellow house on the corner, I so wish I could be there. Love Kristy and Doug

They are playing in God's band and driving around in fancy antique cars, and of course they are watching over you. Take comfort in knowing that you will all be reunited one day. We Eversons are heart-sick about the loss of your beloved Larry and our good friend. Our family adored Larry, as we do all of you, and will deeply miss our neighbor at the lake. We are grateful to have had the opportunity to spend a little time with Larry and your family in the last few weeks out at Paradise.

Charysse and I are truly amazed at the manner in which Larry conducted himself in his last months. He had a wonderful outlook on life and lived every moment with his same cheery nature that was his trademark. What an amazing and gracious man.

We are sorry that we are out of country on a family vacation and can't be there for you. We will see you all soon.

I have many good memories of our family gatherings through the years which make me realize how blessed I was growing up with many cousins and aunts and uncles. Wish I could be there at his service, if not, I will keep you all in my prayers. May the Lord Bless your time together as you celebrate your Dad's life. Hugs, Kristi

To Mary Ann and family,

I have many loving memories of Larry. He always made our California family feel so welcome and comfortable whenever we were visiting in Williston. He enjoyed sharing many interesting stories with us about the history of Williston and the surrounding areas and we loved hearing the stories. He was very generous with us in so many ways (sharing his time, meals, vehicles, gifts, etc.). I will always remember his smile and that wonderful twinkle in his eyes. He so loved you and all his family.

May your heart and soul find peace and comfort in the wonderful memories he has left for you in your hearts.

With love and hope,

Mary Ann and family, I was so saddened to learn of Larry's passing. He was one of my best friends. Our friendship goes back some 70 years. I have so many great memories of my fine friend; from our high school days, our trip to California, working for Larry at the Texaco station, and sharing our stories by phone or at reunions in Williston. Larry was so gracious. I was always pleased to learn of his new ventures and his sense of humor always left me with a smile and a sunny disposition. I will sorely miss Larry whose friendship will always be my most cherished memories.
Mary Ann and family--you must take great pride in having had such a wonderful human being as your husband, father, grandfather....and friend. My prayers are with you.

sorry to hear of larrys passing. he will be greatly missed in williston because of all the kind things he did for the people there.
June 25, 2012 - Doug Peppers of Bloomington, Illinois
This is hard to believe. I always thought Larry would outlast Methusla. This will leave a hole in the fabric of the city that will take time to mend. When I first moved there in 1981 he took the time watch over me and when I left in 1992 he thanked me for being there. In retrospect, that was Larry, never far, always available, and snapping at your heels the whole way. So many will miss him.
June 25, 2012 - Nancy (Saint) Wisness of Watford City, ND

My sympathy on Larrys passing, be proud and happy he did things his way and enjoyed it all. From JC's to Lions and all others he gave his best and made our part more enjoyable. I liked seeing him in April and will always miss that warm smile and those hands telling you things were exciting for him. You had a wonderful husband and father.
