  Mary Moran

Birth Date: August 9, 1940
Place of Birth: Harvey, North Dakota
Date Departed: April 24, 2010
Resided: Trenton, North Dakota
Age: 69

Mary Moran, 69, a longtime Trenton area resident, passed away Saturday morning, April 24, 2010, at the Mercy Medical Center in Williston.

Mary was born August 9, 1940 to William and Katie (Deck) Oster in Harvey, ND, where she was raised and attended St. Cecilia Catholic School and Harvey High School.

On February 29, 1960 she was united in marriage to Gary Moran at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Harvey, ND.

While their children were young, Mary was a stay-at-home mom. After the children were older Mary went to work and was employed at the Q&R Clinic in Bismarck. For the last twenty years she was an onsite bookkeeper for Vigen Construction. While Gary was busy supervising a construction project (usually grain terminals) Mary would make sure all the proper supplies were ordered and ensure their arrival.

She enjoyed making afghans for her family, decorating, painting, shopping, crafts and taking care of her flower garden. Mostly, she simply just enjoyed being with her family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and loved to laugh.

Mary is survived by her husband, Gary of rural Trenton; her sons and their families: son Kurt Moran of Williston and his children, Jackie, Vicki, Ajay, Nicole, and Parker: son Kevin Moran of Williston and his children, Richard, Curtis, Alex and Carson; son, Kalvin Moran of Mandan, ND and his children, Nicole, Samantha, and Ty; daughter, Jodi (Patrick) Schulz of Bismarck, ND and their children, Kylie and Brittany; daughter Heidi Moran of Trenton and her children, Derek and Chantz; and daughter Brandy Moran of Trenton and her children, Gabriel, Dalton and Ashlen; and ten great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Paul (Linda) Oster of Bismarck; four sisters, Tillie Fellers of Fond du Lac, WI; Barbara (Richard) Borg of Valley City, ND; Rosie (Royce) Ponzer of Anamoose, ND: and Christine (Robert) Schmaltz of Grand Forks, ND; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Baby Girl Moran; a sister, Betty Oster; her brother, Baby Boy Oster; and her parents, William and Katie Oster.

The family would like to thank Sharon Njos and Sue Neibauer for all the care they provided Mary.

The Everson Funeral Home of Williston is caring for the family.
