Ramona St. Peter, 80, a longtime Williston resident, died at her home in Williston, surrounded by her loving family on Saturday evening, May 29, 2010.

Ramona (Amaryillis) Ann St. Peter was born in Valley City, ND on June 6, 1929 to Herman and LaVisa (Ryerson) Marler. At the age of seven the family moved to Miles City, MT. She attended grade school and graduated in 1947 from Custer High School.

On February 26, 1949 she married her beloved friend and sweetheart, Jack St. Peter. God gave to this union six children, Jack, Jr., Tana, Mark, Kirk, Lisa and Myia. They moved to Williston in 1956.

Ramona started dance training at the age of five. She trained under teachers in Valley City, Billings and Denver, teaching children’s tap and jazz classes. She operated Ramona’s School of Dance for thirty-two years in Williston and Tioga, ND, Sidney, Wolf Point, Scobey, Plentywood, and Glasgow, MT. She introduced the first clogger in the states of North Dakota and Montana. She and Jack operated the Bow Wow Boutique until she retired in 2003.

Her great love was for the Lord, her husband and children, and working with children and pets, She loved to bake and shared her pies and caramel rolls with many friends and family through the years.

Ramona was preceded in death by her beloved husband of fifty-three years, Jack, Sr., daughter Tana Harper, son, Jack, Jr., grandsons, Ethan Clark and Brock St. Peter, four brothers, Bob, Al, James and Joseph Marler; and her parents.

She is survived by her son, Mark (Gail) St. Peter and their son, Ben, of Williston; son, Kirk (Renee) St. Peter and their children, Rikki and Jared; daughter, Lisa (Scott) Clark and their children, Jacob and Jordan of Williston; and daughter, Myia St. Peter of Williston; grandchildren, Tiffany and John Harper (daughter and son of Tana) and Seth and Michelle St. Peter (son and daughter of Jack, Jr.) three great-grandchildren, Tava, Denzel, and Alysea; four step-grandchildren, Jake, Marshall, Lizzy and Bethany; and six step-great-grandchildren, Macie, Morgan, Dylan, Logan, Adrian, and Braxton.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday afternoon, June 2, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Williston by Father Dennis Schafer.

An Evening Vigil will be held Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. at Everson Memorial Chapel.

Friends are welcome to call at Everson Funeral Home Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., and at the church on for the hour preceding the funeral mass.

Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery.
