Barb Baker, 69, of Williston, passed away at her home early Friday morning, February 17, 2012.

Barbara Jean was born May 13,1942 to Everette and Eleanor (Twete) Johnson in Minot, ND. She was baptized and confirmed at Rainbow Valley Lutheran Church, Ray, ND. She graduated from Ray High School in May of 1960. Barbara was a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Williston, ND.

She was married to Robert Baker and had three children, Darvin Baker, Dannette (Baker) Lambert and Darrin Baker, all of Williston, ND.

Barbara received her Cosmetology license in 1976, and worked at a local salon in Williston. In 1979 she opened her own salon, Style Masters, in downtown Williston; and then moved her salon to The Kensington in 1990. Barbara was very proud of her career where she held all the offices at the state level,was President for many years, and also served on the national level for Cosmetologists. Barbara also participated in the Look Good Feel Good program for over ten years.

Barbara was devoted to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She loved traveling in the US and abroad, reading and working with her flowers. She enjoyed working with hair and spending time with her clients.

Barbara is survived by her beloved children, Darvin Baker, Dannette (Baker) Lambert, and Darrin Baker all of Williston; her much-loved grandchildren, Lane, Lacey, Lyndsie, Derek, Danielle, Jolyssa, Samantha, Michael, and Andrew; and great-grandchildren, William, Avery, and Carter. Also surviving are one brother, Roger (Belinda) Johnson of Williston; three sisters, Eileen (Johnson) Salveson, Townsend, MT; Rita (Johnson) Bratcher, Williston, and Judy (Johnson) Pierce of Bismarck, ND, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death her daughter, Dawn Renae Baker, and her parents, Everette and Eleanor Johnson.

A memorial service celebrating her life will be held Saturday morning, February 25, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Williston. Rev. Sue Seiffert and Rev. Steve Anderson will officiate.

All are welcome to gather at the church on Saturday for the hour preceding the service.

Cremation has taken place.
