Services

His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday Morning, July 18, 2019 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Williston. Father Greg Luger will officiate.

An Evening Vigil with Rosary will be held Wednesday evening, July 17, at 7:00 PM at the Everson Coughlin Funeral Home Chapel in Williston.

Visitation

Friends may call at Everson-Coughlin Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 17, from 9:00 AM until 7:00 PM and for the hour preceding the service at the church on Thursday.

Cemetery

Interment in Trenton Cemetery will follow the funeral mass.

George Daniel “Coyote” Turcotte, 62, of Trenton, ND passed away at his home on Friday, July 12, 2019.

George was born on March 27th, 1957 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Williston, ND. He graduated from Trenton High School in 1976. During his 62 years, he was blessed with 3 children Tana, Branden, and Danielle.

Upon graduation from high school, George worked for the State Highway Department at the Williston Branch for 12 years. He then worked for Nabors Alaska Drilling for 24 years in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska before returning to the Williston area. George worked for the past seven years with his son at Western Edge Oilfield Services in Alexander, ND.

George was a devoted dad and grandpa. He enjoyed going to watch his children and grandchildren at all of their sporting events. You could look into the audience and there he would be cheering them on.

George’s greatest passion was riding and handling bulls. A majority of his younger days were spent driving to rodeos to make that eight second ride. In his later years, he continued to raise bucking bulls with his son.

George is survived by his three children Tana Turcotte (Larry Novak), Branden Turcotte (Andi Johnston), and Danielle Turcotte (Hunter Wiebusch) ; three grandchildren Jacee Turcotte, Jada Turcotte, and Jacob Novak ; brothers, Albert (Roxanne) Turcotte, Matthew (Lori) Turcotte, both of Wasilla, Alaska, Bernie Turcotte of Dickinson, ND, Bruce (Della) Turcotte of Epping, ND ; sisters, Polly (Ed) Jeannotte, Beatrice Falcon, Rosemary Turcotte, brother-in-law Chum LaDue, all of Trenton, ND ; Sandra (Don) Carrington of Box Elder, SD, and many nephews and nieces.

George is preceded in death by his parents Gilbert (Shorty) and Ella Turcotte, sisters Sharon LaDue and Theresa Turcotte, maternal and paternal grandparents, and four nephews and two nieces.

Following the burial at Trenton Cemetery, there will be a luncheon provided at Trenton Indian Service Area in Trenton, ND.
