Services

Her funeral service will be celebrated Saturday morning, July 20, 2019, at 10:00 AM at Bethel Lutheran Nursing and Rehabilitation Center Chapel in Williston. Rev. Sheldon Sorenson will officiate.

Visitation

Friends may call at the Everson Coughlin Funeral Home on Friday from 9:00 AM until 7:00 PM and at the Bethel Home Chapel on Saturday for the hour preceding the funeral service.

Cemetery

Interment will follow in Hillside Memory Gardens in Williston.

Edna Geller, 98, of Williston, passed away at the Bethel Lutheran Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center on Sunday Afternoon, July 14, 2019.

Edna Geller was born to Charles and Irene (Skaff) Albert on March 29, 1921 on the family farm in Mont Township. She was raised on the farm and attended the country school.

On March 27, 1937 she married Joseph Barkie and to this union there were 7 children. They later divorced.

On May 6, 1970, Edna married Alvin Geller. Shortly after that they purchased the Spring Brook bar. Edna continued running the bar after Al passed away. In October 27, 1999 a travel writer visited with Edna and she was interviewed and they put her picture and write up in the money magazine. She was famous for making her Lebanese bread and had calls from all over for her bread. She enjoyed making chicken and shrimp dinners for customers and visiting with her friends.

She is survived by her children; Joan Nelson, Glasgow, Mt, Donna (John) Martinez, Williston, ND, Delores (Gary) Lund, Yakima, WA, Deha Barkie, Kent, WA, Jeannie (Bob) Smith, Lakewood, WA, Janice (Dustin) Shodlt, Joey (Shirley) Barkie, Williston, ND; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Patsy (Dane) Ellison, Cold Springs, MN; several nieces and nephews.

Edna is preceded in death by her husband Alvin; her parents; sisters, Julia Cray, Winnie Gamache, Leona Palmer; Brothers, Donald, Eddie, George and Gene.

The Everson Coughlin Funeral Home of Williston is caring for the family.
