Doug Ganje, 54 of Fargo, formerly of Williston, passed away at his home in Fargo on Wednesday, January 2, 2019.
Douglas William Ganje was born on September 27, 1964 in Williston, North Dakota, the son of John and Sonja (Kinneberg) Ganje. Doug was raised in Williston and graduated from Williston High School in 1982. He graduated from the University of North Dakota Williston in 1984.
Doug farmed and ranched north of Williston, near the Black Tail Dam. Every year Doug donated to the Boys Ranch of North Dakota.
Doug liked to do outdoor activities such as fishing and hunting. He was an avid football watcher of the NDSU Bison, Minnesota Vikings and the Denver Broncos. Additionally, he enjoyed curling and BBQing.
Doug is survived by his three sons, Aaron Ganje of Las Cruces, NM, Andy (Megan) Ganje of Fargo, ND and Dallas, TX and Javin Ganje of Los Angeles, CA; one daughter, Marie Ganje of Los Angeles, CA; his grandson Liam Ganje (Andy and Megan’s 18th month-old son); two brothers Bruce (Sandy) Ganje of Spearfish, SD and Greg Ganje of Minot, ND; one aunt, Laila Selid of Williston, ND.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Ganje and Sonja Wolverton.
